Self-intro

Hello, I'm Akiko.

Languages are fascinating, aren't they? They're surprisingly different from country to country.

I'm particularly fascinated by the letters, sounds, and richness of expression of languages.

For example, when it comes to the uniqueness and beauty of its characters, there's Georgian. გამარჯობა, მე მქვია აკიკო.

Even if you can't read it, just looking at it is somehow enjoyable.

In terms of the sound, there's Mandarin.

I remember once hearing an announcement at an airport in Taiwan and thinking how beautiful the sound was, almost like music.

And when it comes to richness of expression, it's definitely Japanese.
It's interesting how the same onomatopoeia can have different meanings, such as "My stomach is rumbling," "I bow deeply," "The thunder is rumbling," and "I like to lounge around at home on my days off."

Languages change little by little over time.

That's why learning a language can be more enjoyable and profound if you also learn about the culture and background of the country.

I have taught Japanese as a volunteer in the past.

My Canadian husband, who lived in Japan for over 10 years, often asks me questions.

I think it has given me an understanding of what parts of Japanese are difficult.

I have a residence in Canada, but since 2021 I've been living in various countries around the world with my family. These countries include Georgia, Turkey, Armenia, Greece, Albania, Poland, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Argentina, at the time of writing. I am also off to Korea, Colombia, Paraguay, and Kazakhstan.
