Self-intro

Nice to meet you. My name is Freesia.

My hobbies are listening to music, reading manga, and watching short videos.

My favorite music: J-pop, funk music.

My favorite manga: Gintama, Neighborhood Story, Gakuen Babysitters, Baby and Me.

I became interested in teaching Japanese because I worked in recruitment at a previous company. I would call and talk to applicants to get to know them better based on their application documents and then decide whether to interview them. The company didn't care about nationality as long as they lived in Japan; the deciding factor was whether they possessed the skills the company was looking for, so we received applications from both Japanese and foreigners.

Additional requirements for foreigners were that they had a JLPT N1 level and could speak Japanese fluently. To be honest, there were some people who could speak Japanese without any problems in everyday life, but even with a JLPT N1 level, many spoke casually, perhaps because they found it difficult to switch between formal and casual styles. At the time, I wasn't in a position to teach Japanese, but rather to hire and not correct applicants, so I simply made the decision to reject or not. I thought it would be a shame to reject someone with the skills just because they can't speak formal Japanese, so if the opportunity arose, I'd like to be able to support foreigners.

I only speak Japanese, but I hope our lessons will be fun, so I'd like to not only teach Japanese business etiquette, but also discuss hobbies and learn about your country's culture.

Of course, I'd also like to have fun lessons with children.

I'll be waiting for you in class♪

Side note: Freesia is my birth flower. What's yours? If you have the chance, please let me know in a lesson!
